The importance of the function of Supply Chain can be gauged from these famous words, 'It's not the organizations that are competing. It's the supply chains that are competing.' The network that exists between a company and its suppliers as well as its customers, for the purpose of producing and then distributing products to the end customer is known as supply chain. There are various entities, activities, resources and information that are part of every supply chain. The supply chain can also be understood as a series of interconnected steps that are taken to make a product or service reach its final state from its original state, in order to make it available to customers.
